While we had support for updating microcode on the VIA Nano CPUs for a while now, we never included the actual microcode. Unlike, Intel and AMD CPUs, VIA microcode is not available for download, and was extracted from the vendor BIOS. It was not included in coreboot since we never had explicit permission to do so. I have just received confirmation from VIA that we can distribute the microcode.
