Only way to set alarm previously was through
rtcalarm command on EC console. Implemented
interface through ectool so that the AP can set
it as well.

The console adc command prints adc values in the
order they appear in hardware, however they are lableled
in the order they are enumerated in board.h, which is not
necessarily the same.
This prints the correct name and value pairs, and removes
the adc_read_all_channels function which is not otherwise
used.

Enabled CONFIG_CMD_RTC_ALARM. EC_HOST_EVENT_RTC

Setting NVIC_EN register is not a suitable method if you want to turn
on/off one GPIO's interrupt. Since there're eight sources belong to
the same interrupt, using MIWU_EN register which bit belongs to one
MIWU's source is a better way.

The EC code expects console commands to be no longer than 14
characters, otherwise the alignment of the help command output breaks.
This patch replaces flash_spi_sel_lock with flash_spi_lock and
fake_disconnect with fakedisconnect to make sure the command names
fit.

The NPCX_SMBCTL1_ACK bit (which tells the I2C master to produce a NACK
rather than ACK) can be set but not cleared by SW -- it can only be
cleared automatically after actually generating a NACK. During i2cscan,
we want to NACK the first byte returned, but we won't actually produce a
NACK unless the slave ACKs our scanned address. Therefore, we must wait
until the slave ACKs its address before setting NPCX_SMBCTL1_ACK -- use
the NPCX_SMBCTL1_STASTRE / stall interrupt to do so.

Performance in our baseline 4.4 kernel is much worse than previous test
kernels and CS-to-first-byte delay is frequently > 500us. Allow up to
10ms to receive a data byte after CS to reduce the possibility of failed
host commands.

In rare case, FW read the unexpected counter value of timer which source
clock is 32K (Watchdog timer and ITIM16/32 which use 32K source clock).
The root cause is the clocks between reading registers and timer's are
asynchronous. It has a chance to get invalid counter value when timer is
under transaction edge. The solution is using two consecutive equal
readings to make sure the counter value is valid.
Beside different source clocks of timer, we also found there's chip's bug
which causes unexpected value of timer. If an interrupt that occurs very
shortly before entering deep idle with instant wakeup, it might result in
disruptive execution (such as skipping some instructions or hard fault)
after "wfi". The workaround is adding the same bypass for idle in deep
idle section.

- For REBOOT_EC and several other host commands, send_response may be
called multiple times (once for early success notification, one for
actual notification, if the handler exits cleanly). Ignore calls after
the first.
- During reboot / sysjump, we're not equipped to handle host commands, so
disable the SHI interface altogether.

Prior to going to S0, GPIO_SHI_CS_L may be low, which can cause glitches

Previously the maximum number of deferred routines was specified by the
the default maximum number of deferred routines you had to override
this, and if you wanted fewer, you still payed the price of having the
defer_until array statically allocated to be the maximum size.
This change removes that define and instead creates the RAM state of
the deferred routine (the time to wait until to call the deferred) when
the deferred is declared.

Previously calls to hook_call_deferred were passed the function to call,
which was then looked up in the .rodata.deferred section with a linear
search. This linear search can be replaced with a subtract by passing
the pointer to the deferred_data object created when DECLARE_DEFERRED
was invoked.

When a pin power-on default is input, it is necessary to configure output
level, pull up, etc. before setting the pin to output. Otherwise, the
pin may be set to an undesired logic level for a short time.

Since npcx5m6g has larger than 128 KB code ram for FW, the original
alignment between RO & RW regions isn't suitable for new chip.
Therefore, we add 256KB alignment of them for npcx5m6g.
In order to program the flash used by npcx5m6g, we add new board array,
BOARDS_NPCX_5M6G_JTAG, in flash_ec to distinguish which flash layout
ec used. In npcx_cmds.tcl, add new script funcs such as flash_npcx5m5g
and flash_npcx5m6g to program flash with different layout.

In order to support 256 KB ram version of npcx ec, we add CHIP_VARIANT
variant to distinguish which verson ec is.
In config_chip.h, we use CHIP_VARIANT to specify the size and start address
of program memory. Ecst tool also needs a chip parameter to make sure
the address range checking of entry pointer won't fail.

Add 1.8V IO support for some GPIOs and I2C pins. We use a array
(gpio_lvol_table) to confine which IO pins can switch to 1.8V. Before
setting it to support low voltage level, FW should set IO pin's type to
open-drain and disable internal pulling up or down.
We also add examples in gpio.inc of npcx_evb and npcx_evb_arm to indicate
how to set GPIO & I2C pins to 1.8V if user adds CONFIG_TEST_1P8V definition
in board.h.
In i2c.c driver, this version removes the internal pull-up feature of
i2c ports since the driving force is too weak. (about 30K ohm)

Previously the keyboard row and column pins could not use the GPIO
alternate function mechanism because their DEVALT bits were inverted
with respect to all of the others, making it impossible to correctly
configure them. With the refactor of the GPIO driver we can now add
the keyboard DEVALT entries to the gpio_alt_table, and use the
ALTERNATE macro and associated APIs to control the keyboard pin states.
The Wheatley RO firmware image is still 320 bytes smaller than before
the GPIO refactor.

Previously the GPIO driver used quite redundant encodings for its WUI
and DEVALT mapping tables. This refactor compresses those tables
significantly, while adding the ability to represent an inverted DEVALT
bit. The resulting RO firmware image for Wheatley is 384 bytes smaller.
This commit also corrects the interpretation of the func parameter to
gpio_set_alternate_function. Any non-negative func should be
interpreted as a request to switch a pin to an alternate mode.

EC clears the SCI/SMI/Wake masks in the resume sequence for S3
and S0ix. This works in the S3 case because Coreboot reprograms
the masks after EC. But in S0ix, these masks stay cleared forever.
This means that no further events are sent to the host.
This patch conditionally clears the masks only in the S3 transition.

hibernate, so inform the PD MCU that we're going to hibernate before
calling the function.

In order to prevent the influence of the deviation of AVCC during ADC
conversion, the internal reference voltage (Vref) of ADC is fixed to
2.816V even it derives from AVCC.

We found the deviation of ITIM32 is huge since apb2's clock isn't divisible
by 1MHz. (The default resolution of hwtimer is 1us.)
The solution is set the freq of apb2 the same as core clock. Note apb2 is
twice value of original one. It will increase power consumption slightly.
But we found the difference is acceptable no matter core clock is 15M
or 13MHz.
In this version, we also use the arrays to adjust i2c bus timing if
bus' freq is 400K or 1MHz for all source clock freqs of i2c.

Fixed the bug that some of DP80's data is skipping if the speed of writing
by host is high. The solution is grabbing all data and sending them to UART
until FIFO of DP80 is empty in ISR.

To get better power consumption in S0, we add FW support for
CONFIG_LOW_POWER_S0.
Before entering deep idle in S0, we must enable Host interrupt to wake up
EC if it needs to service LPC bus.
This version also add a new bit of sleep_mask (SLEEP_MASK_FAN) in system.h
to prevent EC enter deep idle if fan's duty isn't zero. Normally, the freq of
PWM fan is 25 kHz. It means we must select apb2 clock as the source clock of
PWM fan. Or fan would stop when ec enters deep idle because of no PWM signal.
In hwtimer.c, we reset the preload counter to maximum value in ITEI32's ISR
since preload counter is changed by __hw_clock_source_set all the time.
We also found there're no event set if it's deadline is over 32 bits but
current source clock isn't. To prevent ec doesn't wake-up in deep-idle even if
ITIM32 expires, FW set an event for ITIM32 after process_timers().

There is probability to fail in firmware_ECWatchdog FAFT test by using
CONFIG_WATCHDOG_PERIOD_MS period for check timer. Use
CONFIG_AUX_TIMER_PERIOD_MS instead can fix it.

The new gpio_reset function simplifies the pattern used in this code,
that of returning a GPIO to its original configured state. It also
removes a few instances of using port/mask pairs.

In rare case, executing i2c_interrupt function will generate unnecessary
START condition if START bit is 1 in SMBCTL1.
Please see the layout of SMBCTL1 register below.
Bit [7] - STASTRE
Bit [6] - NMINTE
Bit [5] - GCMEN
Bit [4] - ACK
Bit [3] - EOBINTE
Bit [2] - INTEN
Bit [1] - STOP
Bit [0] - START
In order to set or clear bits of INTEN and NMINTE, we need to read SMBCTL1,
or the bit2,6 and write back to register. But we will issue unnecessary
START condition if bit 0 is 1. (ie. Start condition is not sent yet)
Then FW will receive unexpected SDAST interrupt and sometime it collapses
state machine when i2c receives NACK condition.
The solution is enabling these two bits in i2c_init_bus function. Using
task_enalble/disable_irq (NVIC register) to enable or disable i2c interrupts
instead.

There are hooks for chipset power sequencing but not one to indicate
that the system has reset at runtime. Add a hook for this and
implement for lm4 and mec1322. The hook is notified on any platform
reset, including those that happen on the way into S3/S5 state.
There is a new config variable added because the hook is notified in
the interrupt handler and needs a deferrable function that needs to
be added to every board.

Configuring all GPIOs to INPUT / PULL_UP in hibernate is not a good
idea:
- INPUT / PULL_UP is not necessarially the lowest-power state (for
example, if there is an onboard pull-down).
- Most GPIOs should already be in lowest-power state when we're in S5.
- For the few GPIOs that need to be in a different state for hibernate,
we can use a board-level callback.
In addition, remove mec1322 code related to restoring from hibernate
state, since we always reset coming out of hibernate.

We found the deviation of 115200 UART baud-rate is too large when core
clock is 16 or 12MHz. It causes failure during FAFT since sometime EC
could not receive correct commands to proceed test. We adjusted core
clock from 16/12 to 15/13 to reduce the deviation of 115200. Both of
them have run FAFT and stress tests for weeks and no UART issues were
found.
Since the lowest source clock of i2c is 6.5MHz, we modified tSCLL, tSCLH
and hold time directly for better i2c timing when freq is 400K. And if
freq is 100K, we introduced normal mode to handle it.

Modified hibernate funcs to support hibernate_wake_pins on weatley, npcx_evb
and npcx_evb_arm.
For better power consumption, we disable ADC, tri-state spi pins, all inputs
of wake-ups to prevent leakage current caused by input floating and set
necessary GPIOs' states in hibernate function.

During pressing VolUp + VolDn + Pwr buttons, Silego polls down both EC_RST_L
and ROP_LDO_EN on wheatley. Beside VCC1_RST occurs, power-on reset also occurs
simultaneously since EC's power rail is turned off by PMIC for a while.
VCC1_RST_STS bit is cleared by power-on reset and it will influence recovery
mode detection.
The workaround treats no matter power-on or VCC1_RST reset as reset-pin reset.
Use BOARD_WHEATLEY to distinguish them.
